Faux Ceramic Bead

I attempted to make a faux ceramic bead.  I used a mixture of liquid polymer clay and alcohol ink for the glaze.  The glaze mixture I used didn't leave the shiny finish I was looking for, so I added a coat of varnish and that seemed to really make a difference.  I may try this again using a little bit thicker coat of the liquid clay to see if it adds any more depth..

Water Bottle, Newspaper, Beads & Ceiling Tile

This is a project I did with water bottles, newspaper and extra beads. I cut the bottles and bent the plastic back to make petals. Painted and stamped designs on the back side of the pedals, glued some of my misc. clay beads in the lid for flower center. Cut up pages of a newspaper in shape of flower pedals, layered pedals on top of each other, folded up pedals for dimension, used clay beads in center. The board they are glued on is a cut piece of ceiling tile I painted, broke the edges to give it the look of tile and sealed top and sides with wood stain. Was a fun project to do!!

Organza Bags, Ribbon, and Polymer Clay

One of my favorite pieces I have ever made incorporated an organza bag into the design.  I had this bag and loved the pattern so decided to make a piece of jewelry out of it.

Along with the organza bag, I also used ribbon as the color and pattern in some pieces of jewelry.
